The Palatines to America research staff offers two types of requests for research: Quick Copy and Limited Research. Each comply with the copyright notice found below.

Copyright Notice

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that use may be liable for copyright infringement. Our library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copy order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would violate copyright law.

Quick Copy Request - Provide title, author and/or other appropriate data needed to identify and locate the desired source for the requested look-up and copy(ies). Provide at least the first five words of a book title. For a periodical, include issue date, if known, as well as volume and issue number, if applicable. Limited Research - Send your research question with the surname or person's name, providing variant surname spellings. and family religion near the focus event. All required information is found on the printable form.
